Originally established in the United States in 2017 by pet care expert and advocate Kristen Levine, the initiative aims to educate pet owners and veterinary professionals on the early identification and prevention of fear, anxiety and stress (FAS) in companion animals.
The initiative was launched simultaneously in six European countries. Warsaw was picked to coincide with the 51st World Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress, which the Polish capital hosted from Tuesday to Thursday.
"This campaign is for pet owners but also for pet GPs who normally are in touch with pet owners," Alessio Giannelli of Orion Pharma Animal Health, which supports the initiative, told Danuta Isler.
"We really wanted to create a good platform in order to encourage this basic conversation," he said.
